Scandinavian underdog shirts

They may not be the most successful national team in Scandinavia, but that hasn’t stopped Norway making an impression on the international stage. The side have appeared in three World Cups in 1938, 1994 and 1998 plus one European Championship in 2000.

Even though they have failed to progress further than the round of 16 in the major tournaments they have participated in, they have recorded memorable performances, specifically a win over World Cup favourites Brazil in 1998. To the surprise of everyone, Tore Andre Flo and co. beat the eventual finalists 2-1 in France, during the group stages.

However, Norway’s impressive form against Brazil doesn’t stop there. They are the only country to be undefeated against the Samba stars, recording two draws and two wins over Brazil. That's definitely better than neighbours Sweden, Finland and Denmark have faired. 

Glory Days

From John Arne Riise to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, to the nation’s latest wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland, Norway have had a number of talented players to call upon. However, they haven’t been able to push Norway back to the heights of their glory days in the 1930s, when they secured a bronze in the 1936 Olympics.
