What does 'Bundesliga' mean?
The Bundesliga is often referred to as the “Fußball-Bundesliga” and it’s the top-flight of Germany’s national club football structure. The literal translation is “Federal League”.

The inimitable one-club man Gerd Müller of Bayern Munich bagged an astronomical 365 goals in his 427 appearances, he’s comfortably number one. He’s followed by a certain Robert Lewandowski who’s amassed 275+ for Munich and Borussia Dortmund combined so far. A close third is Klaus Fischer, who managed 268 in 535 games for four clubs which included Schalke 04 and FC Köln. These lads know a net when they see one.
