Club History

The Swans were formed over a century ago in 1912, and were originally named Swansea Town before they switched to City in 1969. In recent years, the Swans were resurgent in climbing through the English league pyramid thanks to the efforts of managers such as Roberto Martinez and Brendan Rodgers, and have established themselves as a Premier League side since they were promoted from the Championship in 2011.
